2PM shared the moving moments of their successful Tokyo Dome concert.
The April 28th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘ revealed backstage clips and 2PM’s excitement for the fans’ overwhelming love at their first Tokyo Dome concert.
During the rehearsal, the members couldn’t hide their surprise after seeing the amount of seats in the arena. The members smiled and laughed together getting ready for the concert. As the show time approached, the members looked nervous as they shouted fighting and took the stage.
The members looked like warriors appearing on stage riding a lift, dressed in white suits. The members filled Tokyo Dome with their fans’ cries throughout the four hour show. Even Taecyeon, the masculine ‘beast-dol,’ couldn’t help himself but cry from seeing the wave of lights from their 55,000 fans.
Fans commented they were able to re-experience the touching moments of the Tokyo Dome concert where 2PM shined with their charisma and passion as Asia’s best performance boy bad.

[NEWS] 130423 2PM TOKYO DOME CONCERT, ‘THIS IS, WHAT DETAILED IS’ THE 12 HIGHLIGHTS

2PM’s solo concert in Tokyo Dome, which was held last 20th and 21st, ended with great success.

All 55,000 seats for both days were sold out, which makes 110,000 audience members in total. Although it might seem like it’s just phrasing by some news report, I went there personally and it was A-MA-ZI-NG. And that is only after 2 years of debuting in Japan.

The concert started at 4.30PM and including the encore stage, it ended at 8.30PM, which made the concert about 4 hours long. How the sky changes from light blue and whitish to dark blue and blackish can be seen from the (ceiling) gap of the huge Tokyo Dome. However, 2PM indeed controlled the time and made all the fans admire them and enjoy the entire concert to the fullest. By making the concert on the 21st as the center, they really showed the carefully detailed planning. ‘Now this is what an elaborately planned concert is’ - the 12 highlights.

1. Nichkhun’s tears = The biggest highlight from today’s concert. The greatest detail has been poured out during the encore stage. Due to last year’s unfortunate accident that made him confine himself in the dorm, the self-restrained Nichkhunie said something surprising to the Korean fans that came to the concert. “It must have been really hard on everyone because of me, but thank you for having kept on believing in me and looking out for me. From now on I’ll work hard to show everyone the better and good side of me.” By hearing this, all the Korean fans that understood what he meant replied with big applause and chants, and because of this, Nichkhun lowered his head and cried hard. This scene (Nichkhun crying) was shown through the big screens in the Tokyo Dome and the Japanese fans that grasped the meaning applauded emotionally towards him. Members that didn’t want the fans to see this side of Nichkhun (being sad), turned Nichkhun’s back towards the fans and hugged him. Friendship, care, consideration, men, friends, artists.. These sides of 2PM made their fans’ hearts even more moist and made them teary eyed.

2. Junho’s back acting = How long the time passed by like this. 2 seconds? Or maybe 3 seconds? While Nichkhun was surrounded by the members’ warm participation, Junho who was apart for a while approached him. How did he know? Although Nichkhun’s crying side was covered by the members’ ‘human shield’ and was caught on screen for just a very short moment, and was perfectly covered from Junho’s sight, during that time, Junho’s wide back seemed so reliable. The audience in Tokyo Dome who were crying soundlessly while watching them this whole time gave even bigger and louder cheers and encouragement.

3. Consideration towards Korean fans = 99% of the 4 hour long concert was held ‘accustomed to Japan’. Hit Korean songs translated in Japanese, hit Japanese songs, including the members’ ments and funny gags were delivered in Japanese. This is the common Korean artists’ concert in Japan. But for 2PM, they cared and paid attention to their Korean fans twice, thrice. “There are Korean fans too right (that came)? Thank you for coming all the way here.” Although the ment was short, how it made the 700 korean fans happy was visible from the center of the stage to the right side. The happy expressions were visible one by one. Relatively speaking, even considering the minors/smaller group of audience, this is what an elaborately planned concert is.

4. The scale that was accustomed following the scale of Tokyo Dome = (will add once the translation for this part is done)

5. The taste of the member’s solo products = (will add once the translation for this part is done)

6. (will add once the translation for this part is done)

7. Taecyeon, are you really the 'rip Taecyeon'? = (will add once the translation for this part is done)

8. Chansung, 2PM's real prince = (will add once the translation for this part is done)

9. JUN. K’s rediscovery = (Even though this might just be the writer’s opinion,) At the Tokyo Dome concert, the member that shines the most, especially during the solo stages, was JUN. K. In order to grab attention during his 1/6 (one of the six) solo stage, JUN. K was the one that approached the fans in the most intelligent way so that his stage will make an impact and will always be remembered by the audience. In an Idol concert, he uses bizarre mummies as the concept for ‘True Swag’. On top of that, during the solo stage before him, Nichkhun’s calm piano performance that was accompanied by violinists only makes the contrast effect even bigger.

10. JUN. K’s captivating charm that radiates through the screen = JUN. K was very smart. No matter whenever his face is closed up and projected through the big screen, especially during his solo parts, he was the member that clearly knows what kind of expression to show or what kind of pose to strike. He definitely knew which angle is the best for his good points-clear line of chin which lasted from the bottom of the ear, unusually white teeth, and thick black eyebrow. At the party concert's after party, the reporter said "It was the greatest solo stage. And it was the best self-directed stage." and JUN. K also gladly agreed with it.

11. Each members' color, all the Japanese fans already knew = (will add once the translation for this part is done)

12. Beastly Idol? No! Sensitive Idol!! = 2PM is known with their Beastly Idol image. But after what happened at Tokyo Dome, I think it has to be changed now. Could it be that their feelings were overflowing with gratefulness and they were also touched because the concert in Tokyo Dome is also symbolic for their 2 years of debuting, or because they feel sad not being able to actively promote in Korea in the past 2 years? On this day, the members’ tears flowed frequently. Although those ments were prepared earlier for them to speak in Japanese which they are working hard in learning, these guys’ eyes kept on getting watery and their voices kept on trembling. Acting sad? No, it’s not. Those are the purely transparent feelings that can only be shown by men in their 20s that have purity in their hearts. 2PM, You are good M-E-N.

[NEWS] 2PM chooses Shinhwa as their role model

2PM chose Shinhwa as their role model!
2PM is already one of the longer running idol groups, as they’re entering their 6th year in 2013. The boys had a press conference before their Tokyo Dome concert, and they talked about the past 5 years as 2PM. Taecyeon said, “People say that an idol group that lasts for more than 5 years is long lasting. I think that the Tokyo Dome is another start. This concert also allowed us to look back into our past. I want to call it a new start that tells us which direction to go.
Jun.K added, “After our debut, we had good things, and not so good things. But when we had bad things, we were able to become closer. We come together now thinking of one another as family. It’s not like we never have conflicting opinions, so we set up a rule. If we don’t agree with someone’s opinions, then we get together to talk and solve it. We’ve been doing that.
Wooyoung continued, “Our teamwork now is better than ever. If we have something we’re disappointed in, we try to fix it right away. We love Shinhwa sunbaenim, the long-running idol. They’re our role model. We’re going to do our best for a long time and fulfill our own dreams.
Jun.K concluded, “There’s something I want to say. We were only able to promote in Japan like this because sunbaes such as BoATVXQ, and Rain paved the road for us. We want to thank them first.
The Tokyo Dome concert on the 20th and 21st were the boys’ last overseas promotions before their comeback in mid-May.
